Solstice

Hey guys! Did you all have a good weekend? I did for sure! My husband and I went out of town all weekend and spent some time with family. It was wonderful!

Today's post is all about the most beautiful eye shadow of all time - Urban Decay "Solstice." No explanation needed. It's just gorgeous. So, if you want to know how I created this look, then please keep on reading!

Starting off with a blank, red canvas, haha.

I'm going to start off with the eyes today by using the Lorac Behind the Scenes Eye Primer all over the lids.

Then I applied a bit of MAC's Painterly Paint Pot - just to even out my skin tone.

Since that paint pot is a cream product, I wanted to put down a light, powder base so the shadows we're about to use would blend more easily. So, for that, I used Makeup Geek's "Vanilla Bean" eye shadow.

Like so.

And now we have a nice, even canvas to work with!

So, first - for the transition color -I chose "Peach Smoothie" by Makeup Geek.

I just put it right in the crease, like so.

Next, I went in with "Cupcake" by Makeup Geek. This is a beautiful pinky-mauve color.

And I just applied that right on top of that "Peach Smoothie."

This is what I have so far.

To add some depth to the look, I used Makeup Geek "Bitten."

I applied that to the outer-V of the eyes.

And this is what it looks like at this point.

Now for the star of the show - Urban Decay Moondust shadow in the color "Soltice." Isn't it beautiful?!

To get the ultimate color payoff, I wanted to use this shadow wet. So, I took some MAC Fix + and sprayed that on a shader brush before dipping it into that shadow.

I applied that shadow to the mobile part of the lid.

Look at that color!!!

I went back and applied more of that "Bitten" color to the outer corners.

Then I took a big fluffy brush and blended everything out so there were no harsh lines.

And for mascara, I used Too Faced Better Than Sex.

I applied that mascara to the top lashes only, for now.

Then I applied some lashes - KISS "Shy."

Here's a better look at them.

And lashes are on!

Finally... moving on to the face. For primer I used Benefit POREfessional.

And for foundation, Estee Lauder Double Wear in the color "2C1."

Foundation is done!

For concealer, I used NARS Radiant Creamy concealer in the shade "Honey."

Concealer = Applied.

To warm up the face, I used the Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour kit - the bottom right shade.

Yay for bronzer!

For blush, I used Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in the color "Fearless."

For brows I used the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in "Medium Brown."

Brows are done!

For the lower lash line, I went back into Makeup Geek "Cupcake," and applied that to the outer two-thirds of the bottom lid.

I also applied some of that "Solstice" to the inner third of the lower lash line as well.

I know this is a bit ridiculous, but I used a different mascara on my lower lashed - MAC Extended Play Lash. The wand is super skinny and just perfect for your lower lashes.

Now the eyes are done!

For my highlight, I used Becca's collab shade with Jaclyn Hill - "Champagne Pop." Can you tell I'm excited to use it? Hahaha

LOOK at that highlight!!!! You could see me from space!!

For the lips I used MAC "Please Me."

And here's the final look! Please excuse my hair... I couldn't be bothered.

Yes... my lash is not sticking, hahaha

So there you have it!! I tried to include as many different perspectives of that eye look as I could. I am just obsessed with that eye shadow! I've worn it by itself quite a few times to work. It's so beautiful!

Anyway, I hope you like the look as much as I do, haha. If you'd like to know where I got the products used, they will be linked below.

As always, thank you SO much for reading! I'll see you on the next one!!
