Tonic

Hey guys! I hope you've had a great weekend! Today's look is centered around one of my new favorite Urban Decay eye shadows - Tonic. (Hence the title of the post, haha). This is a super simple look. And if you're not crazy about the purple, you can substitute it with any color you'd like. That's one of the beauty's of makeup - you can play around and have a million different colors to choose from! So, if you'd like to know how I achieved this look, just keep on reading!

I'm going to start out by using the Makeup Forever HD foundation in the shade 123. Now, Makeup Forever just replaced the HD foundation with the Ultra HD foundation. I've heard good things about it, but I haven't tried it. I'm gonna use this one up before I go get the new formula.

Foundation is done.

For concealer, I used the NARS Radiant Creamy concealer in the shade "Honey."

I only applied it right under the eyes. Once I blend it in, I'll put whatever product is left on the brush on my nose and chin.

I'm concealed!

To set the concealer, I used the "Banana" shade in the Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Palette. 

I applied that right under the eyes to brighten that area up a bit.

The brush I used here is the Elf Blush Brush. This thing is awesome. It fits perfectly right under my eyes.

To set the rest of my face, I used the MAC Mineralize Skin Finish Natural in the color "Medium Plus."

We're all powdered!

To bronze up the face, I went back into the Anastasia Beverly Hills palette and used the shade on the bottom right. 

Bronzer makes such a huge difference!!

For contour, I used Benefit Hoola.

Moving on to the eyes, I first took "Peach Smoothie" by Makeup Geek and applied that into the crease as my transition shade.

To darken up the crease a bit more, I used "Latte" by Makeup Geek.

I applied that right over the "Peach Smoothie."

For the lid color, I wanted a super light shade. Not white, but close. For that, I used "Vanilla Bean" by Makeup Geek.

I just packed that all over the lid.

Here's what it looked like at this point.

Now for the star of the show - Urban Decay "Tonic" shadow.

I just took a small shader brush and packed that into the inner corner.

Don't be afraid to really smoke out that inner corner with that purple shadow.

Once I was done with the inner corner, I took a mixture of "Peach Smoothie" and "Latte" and applied that to the lower lash line.

For the brow bone, I used "Shimma Shimma" by Makeup Geek. I know this look is heavy on Makeup Geek, but seriously guys... this brand is awesome and so are their products! I'll link them below so you can check them out.

For brows, I used the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in the color "Medium Brown."

Brows are filled!

To fill in the brows, I used the Maybelline Brow Drama in the color "Blonde."

For mascara, I used  Too Faced Better Than Sex.

We're almost done!

For blush, I used MAC "Lovecloud."

For the lips, I used the NYX Butter Gloss in the color "Merengue."

And lastly, for highlight I used Becca "Rose Gold."

So, there you have it! I love this look. It's sooooooo simple. And like I said earlier, you can totally replace the purple in the inner corner with whatever color you prefer. I freakin' love makeup!
