Hey everyone! I hope you all had a great weekend! Today's tutorial was inspired by a face chart I saw on Instagram. If you're not familiar with what a face chart is, it's something makeup artists use to plan out specific looks. There is a face drawn on canvas paper, and you can apply makeup to the chart the same way you'd apply it to your face. It's pretty cool. You can see it here, below. Awesome, right? Well, I tried to recreate this look, and I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out! Also, I'm using a ton of new products in this tutorial. Soooo excited to show you all new things! If you'd like to find out how to create this look, just keep reading :). As always, all tips will be listed in the caption below each picture. Enjoy!
Aghhh! My freckles are out of control!
To prime the face, I'm using the Benefit POREfessional, and the L'Oreal Revitalift Miracle Blur. Love these two together!
I forgot to get the pump to go with this foundation, so I dotted it all over my face, like so, and blended it in that way.
Look how flawless. Freakin' amazing foundation!
Moving on, I primed the eyes with the Lorac Behind the Scenes Eye Primer.
I started out applying "Cream" from the LoracPRO palette all over the lid, from lash line to brow bone.
Next, I used "Taupe" in the crease as my transition shade.
Like so.
Then I used "Slate" on the lid from lash line to crease.
Like so.
Then I took a fluffy blending brush, and blended all of that out.
Like so.
This is what you should have so far.
Next, I took this lighter matte blue color, and blended that into the upper crease to get that intense blue look.
Like so.
And this is what you should have so far.
Then, to darken up the crease and give the eyes some depth, I took "Black" and added it to the crease.
Like so.
I applied it in the upside down triangle, like so.
We are now concealed!
To set that concealer, I used the MAC Prep + Prime translucent setting powder.
For the rest of the face, I used the Rimmel London Stay Matte powder.
All set!
To contour, I used the Benefit Hoola bronzer.
For blush, I used this nude blush from the BH Cosmetics Glamorous 10 Blush palette. This baby was only $10!!
All blushed and contoured :)
For brows, I used the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in "Medium Ash."
Ahh, I love how brows really change the look and bring everything together!
Going back to the eyes, I went back into "Slate" and applied that on the lower lash line.
Like so.
To smoke out the lower lash line, I went back into the blue we used in the crease earlier.
I took this color down pretty far.
We're getting there!
Again, I took "Black" and added that to the outer portion of the lower lash line.
Like so.
Then I went into this light blue, and added that to the inner corners of the eyes.
Like so.
Next, I took the Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in "Perversion," and applied that to the upper and lower waterlines.
We're all lined!
I then applied a thin coat of mascara to the upper and lower lashes.
For lips, I used the NYX Matte Lipstick in "Hippie Chic."
Then I topped it off with this Revlon Super Lustrous lip gloss in "Coral Reef."
Last up is lashes. These will take the look up a notch, for sure! I used the Ardell Demi Wispies.
And here's the final look!
So, there you have it! A smokey blue look! I absolutely love this look. I know it's not super wearable for all the time, but I still love it. And I'm sooooo excited about finally being able to create more colorful looks for you all! Let me know how you liked this look in the comments below, or on my Facebook page, "Beautymark." Thank you all so much for reading, and have a great week!
XOXO - Tabitha
