Hey everyone! Having a good week? I hope so! Today's look is one of my favorites I've done for the blog. I saw a few tutorials on YouTube using MAC's Blue/Brown pigment, and I fell in love. If you're not sure what a pigment is, here is the description straight off the MAC website: "Pigment is a highly concentrated loose color powder that contains ingredients to help it adhere to the skin. Create a subtle wash of color, or an intense effect." Ugghhhh, this pigment is sooooo beautiful! I can't even put it in words. Pictures don't do it justice at all. It's just gorgeous. You'll see a million pictures of it below. Are you excited? Cause I'm excited, haha. So let's get into it! All tips will be in the captions below each picture. Enjoy!
As always, I started out by applying my two favorite primers to the skin.
For this look, I wanted the skin to look flawless, so I went in with the IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Redness to neutralize some of my redness before applying foundation.
I applied a very thin layer to the areas of my face with the most redness. You can see how well this stuff works!
For foundation, I used the NARS Sheer Glow in the color "Fiji." Loooove this foundation!
It is such a beautiful foundation!
Moving on to the eyes, I first applied the Lorac Behind the Scenes eye primer.
Then I used the Stila In the Know palette.
First, I went in with the color "air" (the print is so tiny, haha) and I applied that all over the lid.
Then I used the color "desert" as the transition shade in the crease.
Blended that in, like so.
Next I wanted a darker, more red based brown, so I went for "Sable" from the Lorac Pro Palette. I applied that right into the crease.
Like so.
...this brush. This is the Large Shader Brush from Sigma.
I dipped the damp brush into the pigment leftover in the cap (you don't need much of this stuff at all) and applied it all over the lid.
Looooooook!!! So pretty!!!
Obsessed. And that is barely using any product. This stuff is amazing.
I wanted to warm up the crease even more, so I used "Sienna" from the Anastasia Beverly Hills Lavish Palette, and blended that right into the crease.
Like so.
Like I said, I wanted the winged liner to be pretty dramatic.
Back to the skin, I used the MAC Pro Longwear concealer in "NC25."
I applied it right under the eyes, around the nose, and along the chin.
I blended that concealer in with the Real Techniques sponge.
We're now concealed!
To set the concealer, I used the MAC Prep + Prime Translucent setting powder.
Then to set the rest of the face I used the MAC Mineralize Skin Finish Natural in "Medium +."
To contour, I used Benefit's Hoola Bronzer.
Contoured!
Then I wanted to use more of a red based bronzer to actually bronze the face. For that I used the NYX Matte Bronzer in "Medium."
Just a bit of that. Haha, it doesn't even look like I did anything.
For blush I used this orangey color from the BH Cosmetics 10 color blush palette.
Skin is done!
For brows I used the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in "Medium Ash."
Brows are done!
Awww, this one came out blurry. Sorry guys. I went in with "Sable" again and blended that onto the lower lid.
Like so.
Then I added a bit of "Sienna" to blend out that lower lash line.
Like so. I was blending when I took this. That's why the brush is all blurry.
I blended that down pretty low, but you don't have to go down that low if you don't want to.
I then added the Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On eye pencil in "Demolition" to the waterline.
Liner done. That makes such a huge difference. Love it!
I applied a small amount of the Jordana Best Lash Extreme Volumizing Mascara to the upper lashes.
Then I applied the Ardell "110" lashes.
Glue was still drying, but this is what they look like. Pretty natural.
For lips I used Milani's lipstick in "26 Nude Creme."
And here's the final look!
And there you have it! One of my favorite looks to date! As if you haven't heard it enough in this post, I am in love with this pigment. It is seriously the most gorgeous shadows I own. This pigment would look goo with any skin tone and any eye color. It's so versatile. You can always go to the MAC counter and ask for a sample of this (or any other pigment you're interested in) and they'll be glad to give it to you.
