Hey guys! Hope you all had a good weekend. Today's post is a very special one! A week ago, I received an email from a sweet lady I follow on Instagram. Her name is Lizzy, and she asked if I would be interested in doing a collaboration look. Of course I said yes! We went back and forth on what type of look to do, and she suggested something Burlesque inspired. I loved that idea! So, this look is very special, as it's my first collab with another artist! Thank you so much Lizzy for wanting to do a look with me! Now, let's get into the tutorial. As always, tips will be listed in the captions below each picture. Enjoy!
I started out by applying the L'Oreal True Match foundation in color "W4 Natural Beige."
Foundation is done.
After foundation, I went straight to the eyes. I applied "Cream" from the Lorac Pro Palette all over the lid as a base.
Then I went in with "Taupe" and applied that to my crease with a large fluffy brush.
Like so. I built up the product until I got the desired color.
Then I applied "White" to the lid from lash line to my crease.
Like so.
This is what you should have so far.
Going back to the skin, I wanted to use a concealer that would work as a highlight to my face. I went with the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind in Light/Pale.
I applied that under my eyes, around my nose and chin and a little on my forehead.
Concealer blended!
I wanted to eliminate all redness, so I used Rimmel Scandaleyes Waterproof Kohl Kajal liner in "Nude" to line my waterline.
Like so.
For liner, I used the Maybelline Eye Studio gel liner in "Blackest Black."
I created a long wing on each eye, like so.
Here's what you should have at this point.
After I applied that liner, I went back into "White" to brighten up under my eyes even more.
Like so. I also applied this to the inner corners and along the brow bone.
To set the face, I used the Coty Airspun Loose Face Powder in "Translucent."
Face is set!
To contour, I used Hoola bronzer by Benefit.
Contour is done! I'm skipping out on the blush today as I want the focus to be on the eyes and lips.
For brows, I'm using the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in "Medium Ash."
One brow done!
After I finished filling my brows, I used Gimmie Brow by Benefit to set them in place.
Brows are done!
For mascara, I used Jordana Best Lash Extreme on the top lashes only. We want the under-eye area to stay light and bright.
For lashes, of course I had to use my favorite Ardell Demi Wispies.
Lashes applied!
For lips, I wanted a rich red. For that I chose Rimmel London Show Off Lip Lacquer in "Big Bang."
I wanted to add a beauty mark to my face, so I took the Anastasia Beverly Hills liner pencil to add that little something extra.
And here's the final look!
And there you have it! A burlesque makeup tutorial! I had so much fun creating this look. Thank you so much Lizzy for contacting me! You're awesome!
