Hey everyone! Sorry for the irregular blog posts the past two weeks. Things have been super busy with the holiday's and my birthday. My boyfriend and I have been traveling a lot, and have spent tons of time with family. We went to the Biltmore House in Asheville, NC this weekend and it was wonderful! So, that's the reason I've only posted two times a week the past few weeks. Now, I'm back to the normal schedule and will be posting regularly, yay!!
Today's look is a neutral face with a pop of color on the eyes. After all this crazy weather we've been having, I've been thinking more and more about spring... and that inspired me to add a pop of turquoise to the look. It's a little different, but really fun! I'm going to go ahead and jump right in. All tips will be listed in the captions under each photo. Enjoy!
Bare faced.
As usual, I used Benefit's The POREfessional to prime my face.
Next I used the Revlon 24hr Colorstay foundation in the color "250 Fresh Beige."
Base is done!
Moving on to the eyes, I took this "Cream" color from the LoracPRO palette and spread that all over the eyes, from lash line to brow bone.
For the transition color, I chose "Taupe." I applied this right into my crease.
Like so.
Next I took "Espresso" and applied that right into the crease over top the "Taupe."
I wanted to wing out the eye shadow, so when blending "Espresso" into the crease, I took the brush and came out a little further on the outer corners of the eyes, as you can see.
This is the shape you should have. I winged out the shadow to almost meet the tail of my eyebrows. And I promise I wasn't mad here. Not sure why I always have this scowl look, haha.
For liner, I chose the L'Oreal Carbon Black Lineur Intense liquid eyeliner, and I created really long, dramatic wings on each eye - just to accentuate the winged out eye shadow more.
This is a horrible picture, but you can see the verrrrryyyy long wings!
For concealer I used the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind in the color "Light."
I applied that in a triangle shape underneath my eyes, around my nose and on my chin. Then I blended all that out with a stippling brush.
To set the face, I used the Rimmel London Stay Matte powder in the color "Transparent."
No more shine!
I bronzed and contoured the face using the NYX Matte Bronzer in the color "Medium."
I love the look of contouring!
For blush, I used the Milani Baked Blush in the color "Luminoso."
Love that it gives such a natural glow to the face!
Now for the color!
I used the Maybelline Color Tattoo cream eye shadow in the color "Edgy Emerald."
I applied that all along the lower lash line as a base for the color coming up next.
Not too bright, but it creates a really good sticky base for the next eye shadow.
For the real color, I used the L'Oreal Infallible eye shadow in the color "Endless Sea." This color is GORGEOUS! All of the Infallible pressed eye shadows are.
I took a short, stubby brush and applied that eye shadow over top of the cream color base to make it a lot brighter.
If you notice, I did apply a very thin line of the "Endless Sea" color right below the winged liner.
This is what you should have at this point.
To define the eyes, I used the Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in the color "Zero." I applied that to both the top and bottom waterline's.
It looks weird right now, but I promise it will all come together at the end.
For brows I used the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in the color "Medium Ash."
Brows are done!
I packed on the mascara using the Jordana Best Lash Extreme Volumizing mascara.
Lashes are done.
For lips, I used the Maybelline Color Whisper lip balm in "Coral Ambition."
Over top of that, I used the NYX Butter Gloss in "Apple Strudel."
Here's the final look!
Always my partner in crime - my sweet girl, Coty. She is usually right here behind me when I film each tutorial. She's definitely a mama's girl. Don't know what I'd do without her!
I hope you all enjoyed that tutorial! I love adding color to each look. I think it makes the day a little more fun. If you have any questions or comments, please leave them below or on my Facebook page "Beautymark." Thank you all SOOOOOO much for reading, and have a great week!
XOXO - Tabitha
