January Favorites

Hey everyone! I hope you've had a great week so far. Sorry I have been M.I.A. the past week. My boyfriend and I did MORE traveling, and had the best time in Gatlinburg, TN. I seriously love going up there. So, that's where I've been. Anyway, today's post is all about my January favorites. These products were my most used, most loved products last month, and I wanted to share them with you! As always, my thoughts will be listed in the captions below each picture. Enjoy!

First up is my Clarisonic Mia 2. I spoke about this in my Birthday Haul blog post from a few weeks ago, and I raved about it then too. This is the best thing ever. It has really cleared up my skin, and has improved the texture of my skin SOOOOO much. I used to have large blackheads all around the bottom of my chin and jawline that you could actually feel when you ran your fingers across those areas. But now they're completely gone. All of them. It's amazing. Now, I still have the blackheads on my chin and my nose, but they're the ones that are really deep, and you can only see them when you get up close. I do have significantly less of those blackheads, but they're not completely gone. I have noticed a huge difference in the size of my pores, though. They're a lot smaller, which is amazing to me, cause I have always had pores big enough to drive a truck through...so...there's that. If you've been thinking about getting one of these, think no more and just go and get it. You will regret nothing, I promise!

Next is the Josie Maran 100% Argan Oil. I'm obsessed with this stuff. This has helped my oiliness like.... I don't even have words. It's just really helped my skin not over-produce oils. I have noticed a huge difference in how oily I get throughout the day. I still get shiny, but I'm not a complete greaseball by the end of the day. This stuff is perfection. I'm in love. If you have oily skin, or oily combination skin - GET THIS PRODUCT. If you have super dry skin, GET THIS PRODUCT. No joke. Everyone needs this stuff. I cannot say enough good things about it. Seriously.

Moving on to a different type of skincare product, this is the Neutrogena Hand Cream. Let me just tell you, I have THE driest, nastiest old man hands on the planet. I have tried a million and one hand creams and none of them have ever worked. Until I found this. This hand cream has completely healed my hands of the dry, flaky nastyness that happens every winter. And it doesn't just help for a couple minutes, it helps for DAYS. No joke. It's not an actual lotion lotion, it's a gel lotion. Don't you love how I explain things? Hahaha, anyway, I really love this stuff. You only have to use a little bit, and it soaks right in and doesn't leave you feeling greasy at all. It's perfect. I use it at work every single day, and I've even gotten some co-workers using it too. Ever since I started using this back in mid-December, my hands have not been dry or cracked at all! They've been super soft, and it doesn't look like the cold weather has gotten to them at all. It's amazing. Best part, it's only like $3-4!!

Now for something I haven't talked about on my blog yet - hair products. Now, my hair is naturally very oily. I have to watch what products I use on my hair because it is so fine and flat that most products just end up weighing it down. However, because I have colored my hair and I heat style it pretty often, I went looking for a deep conditioner that I could use once a week to rejuvenate my hair and make it soft and silky. That's when I found the Aussie Moist 3 Minute Miracle Deeeeeeep Treatment. I heard about this product from a girl on YouTube, so I thought I'd try it. I am so glad I did. I absolutely LOVE this stuff. It really makes my hair feel so soft, and moisturized and it looks so healthy. The best part about it for me is that it doesn't make my hair oily at all! I can put it all over my hair, not just on the ends, and my hair doesn't get greasy by the end of the day.  That's really saying something for my hair. Not only does it work well, but it smells amaaaaaaazing, and it's only $3!

Getting into the makeup, my first face product is the Covergirl Outlast Stay Fabulous 3 in 1 foundation. I love this stuff. I would almost go as far as to say that I love it even more than my Makeup Forever Mat Velvet + foundation. The only thing I like better about the MUFE one is the coverage is better. But the Covergirl is a perfect every day foundation. It's a light-medium coverage, goes on smoothly and keeps my oil at bay for quite a while. Having the pump on it is amazing. The color range in this foundation is great. I just love it. If you have oily/combination skin, you will love this stuff!

For powder, I have really grown to love the MAC Prep + Prime Translucent Setting powder. When I first got this stuff, I wasn't impressed at all. I felt like it didn't really do anything to/for my the look of my makeup. But I started using a different brush with it and I have been concentrating it onto the areas I use concealer, and it sets those areas beautifully. I do go in and use my Rimmel Stay Matte powder to set the rest of my face, but this stuff over concealer is amazing. It keeps my concealer in place all day. I use a Real Techniques Setting Brush to apply this powder, and it works so well. I love the Real Techniques brushes! I should've put those in here too!

For lips, I've been loving the Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in "Primrose." This is the perfect pinky-nude color. It goes with just about everything. I've seriously worn this lipstick almost every day. It's such a gorgeous color. It goes on smoothly, wears extremely well and isn't drying at all. I can just put this on and go. It's not one that I need to check to make sure it looks good. It is perfect!

For gloss I am obsessed with the NYX Butter Glosses. This past month, I've been particularly loving the one in "Eclair." It's so pigmented (as all the Butter Glosses are) and feels soooooooo good on the lips. It pairs well with the Revlon "Primrose" above, but looks amazing on it's own too. If you haven't tried these glosses, you need to. They'll instantly become your favorite go-to lip product. I ALWAYS have one (or 4) with me. The color range is great, and they're only $4!

So there you have it! My January favorites. I hope you all enjoyed this post. Let me know if you decide to try any of these products! And as always, if you have any questions or comments, please leave them below or on my Facebook page "Beautymark." Thank you all soooo much for reading and have a wonderful rest of the week!

                                         XOXO - Tabitha
