Hey guys! Having a good week so far? My week has been work, clean, sleep, repeat. I feel like I've been going and going all week. But it's okay. I've gotten so much done and I feel so productive that I don't mind :).
Today's blog post is all about the date night look. Specifically Valentine's date night. I had a few requests to do a purple look, and here it is! I love the way this look turned out, and I hope you all do too. So, let's get into it! All tips will be in the captions below each picture. Enjoy!
I started by priming the face with the L'Oreal Revitalift Miracle Blur and the Benefit POREfessional. Loving this combo!
That's all I need to prime my whole face. I just squeeze out a bit of both, rub them together on my fingers and apply it all over the face, focusing it most where my pores really show.
For foundation, I used the Covergirl Outlast Stay Fabulous 3 in 1 (longest name ever) in the color "842."
Foundation is done!
Moving on to the eyes, I primed them with the Lorac Behind the Scenes eye primer.
I took "Cream" from the LoracPRO Palette and applied that all over the eye, from lash line to brow bone.
I then took "Taupe" and applied it to the crease as a transition shade, so the purples would blend out more smoothly.
Like so.
I then took this L'Oreal eye shadow palette in "526 Hollywood Icon" and used this medium purple color all over the lid, from lash line to just under the crease.
Then I took the darkest purple and applied it to the outer-V of the eye to create more depth.
Like so.
This is what you should have at this point.
I then took the lightest purple, and applied it to the upper crease to blend everything out.
Like so.
To line the eyes, I used the L'Oreal Carbon Black Intense liquid eye liner.
I created a winged look on each eye.
To conceal, I used the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind right under the eyes, around the nose and on the chin.
Like so.
Concealer done!
To set all the places I used concealer, I took the MAC Prep + Prime Translucent Setting powder and lightly applied it to those areas.
To set the rest of my face, I used the Rimmel London Stay Matte powder.
Makeup is now set in place.
To bronze and contour, I used the Benefit Hoola bronzer.
For blush, I used the Milani Baked blush in the color "Berry Amore."
We are now bronzed and blushed.
For brows, I used the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in the color "Medium Ash."
Brows are filled!
I wanted to define the eyes a bit more, and for that I used the Anastasia Beverly Hills Waterproof eyeliner in the color "Covet" all in my lower waterline.
Lower liner done.
Going back to the L'Oreal quad, I used the medium color purple to smoke out my lower lash line.
Like so.
We're smoked.
Mascara is done.
I wanted to keep it simple on the lips, so I used only the NYX Butter Gloss in the color "Merengue."
And here's the final look!
I hope you all enjoyed this tutorial as much as I did! I looooove the way this look turned out! I actually wore this out for my anniversary date with my boyfriend this weekend :). I felt so pretty! If you have any questions or comments about this look, or any others I've done, please leave them below, or on my Facebook page "Beautymark." I love it when you all have requests, so please let me know of any you may have, and I'll do my best to get those up for you all! Thank you SO SO SO much for reading, and have a great rest of the week!
XOXO - Tabitha
