Hey everyone! I hope you all had a great weekend! I celebrated 7 years with my boyfriend yesterday, yay! It was a very nice weekend :) Anyway, back to the blog, haha. Today's post is all about a sweet day time look for Valentine's Day. I asked for requests on my Facebook page, and I got a few requests for a red look, and a few for a purple look. So, today's post is the red/pink look and Wednesday's post will be the purple look! Let's go ahead and get right into this tutorial. As always, all tips will be in the captions below each picture. Enjoy!
Looking rough here, hahaha.
For foundation, I used the Covergirl Outlast Stay Fabulous 3 in 1 foundation in the color "842."
Foundation is complete!
Moving on to the eyes, I primed them with the Lorac Behind The Scenes eye primer.
I first took a white eye shadow and applied that all over my lids.
Then I took this "Mauve" shade and applied that right into the crease as the transition shade.
Blend it right in there. I look tired and miserable here, haha. Please excuse my sourpuss face...
Next, I took this Makeup Geek eyeshadow in "Bitten" and applied that onto the outer-V and outer third of my eyes.
Like so.
This is what you should have so far.
I then took this light pink shade and applied it to the inner 2/3rd's of my eyes.
The light pink just brightens everything up.
Then I went back into the mauve color, and blended out all the harsh lines.
Like so.
For liner, I took this espresso shade and applied it to the upper lash line for a soft look.
I added a wing as well.
I wanted my lashes to look fuller, so I tight-lined my upper waterline with this Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On eye pencil in "Demolition."
This is what you should have at this point. Sorry I have another horrible look on my face. Ignore that please, haha.
For concealer I used the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind in a triangular shape under the eyes, around the nose and along the chin.
Like so. Concealer for this look is key, as using reds can make you look very tired.
Concealer blended!
To set the areas I put concealer, I used the MAC Prep + Prime Translucent setting powder.
To set the rest of the face, I used the Rimmel Stay Matte powder.
Face is set!
To contour the face, I used the Benefit Hoola bronzer.
For blush, I used this Wet n Wild blush in Rose Silk. This stuff is awesome. Crazy pigmented, so use a very light hand!
Blush and bronzer/contour done!
For brows, I used the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in "Medium Ash."
Brows are set.
To open up the eyes a bit more, I used this Rimmel Soft Kohl Kajal eyeliner in white to line my lower waterline.
Like so.
Then I went back to mauve again, and applied it to the lower lid.
Like so.
To highlight the inner corner and brow bones, I used the Makeup Geek shadow in "Shimma Shimma."
For mascara, I used the Jordana Best Lash Extreme Volumizing mascara.
Best. Mascara. Ever.
For lips I used the Revlon Super Lustrous lipstick in "Primrose."
To make it a bit more pink, I used this NYX Butter Gloss in the color "Merengue."
And here's the final look!
So, there you have it! A sweet pinkish-red Valentine's Day time look. I hope you all liked this tutorial. I really love making posts for you all, and I am so happy and thankful for you all reading them. You all are amazing :). Stay tuned for Wednesday's post. I seriously LOVE the way that one turned out. Absolutely perfect for date night! As always, feel free to post questions/comments/requests below, or on my Facebook page "Beautymark."
