Hey everyone! I hope you all have had an amazing week! Sorry I have been M.I.A. I feel like I say that a lot on here, haha. But this time, it was for something really special. My boyfriend of seven years proposed to me last week!!!! I couldn't believe it!! Literally, I couldn't believe it, because he proposed on April Fool's day, haha. Right when he did it, I asked him about 30 times if he was being for real, hahaha. And he definitely was! So, yay!!! Let the wedding planning begin!
But again, I'm sorry for not posting but once last week. I had a few things planned out, but then I didn't like how they turned out. And then my boyfriend proposed, and I just thought, "You know, the blog can wait. Spending time with my fiance can't." So, thank you all again for being patient and sticking with me. You all are the best!! Anyway, today's post is all about the bright lip! I absolutely love this color for spring and summer! And this is a very easy tutorial! So, if you want to learn how to recreate this look, just keep reading! All tips will be in the captions below each picture. Enjoy!
As always, I primed my face using Benefit's the POREfessional combined with the L'Oreal Miracle Blur.
For foundation, I used NARS Sheer Glow in the color "Fiji."
Then, I primed the eyes using the Lorac Behind the Scenes eye primer.
I went in with "Wind" from the Stila In the Know palette, and applied that all over the lid, from lash line to brow bone.
Then I took "Desert" and put that into the crease as the transition shade.
Like so.
After that, I took "Rain" and put that all over the lid.
Like so.
This is what you should have so far.
To darken up the crease, I went in with "Earth" and blended it into the outer corners.
Like so.
Then I took a large fluffy brush...
And blended all that out.
This is what you should have now.
For liner, I used the Maybelline Eye Studio gel liner in "Blackest Black."
I created a winged liner.
Going back to the face, I used MAC Pro Longwear concealer in "NC25" under my eyes, around the nose and along the chin.
I applied it like so.
Then, I blended it out!
To set that concealer, I used the MAC Prep + Prime translucent setting powder.
Then to set the rest of the face, I used Rimmel Stay Matte powder in "001 Translucent."
All powdered!
I used Hoola bronzer by Benefit to warm up the face and contour a bit.
And for blush, I used the Milani Baked Blush in "Luminoso."
All blushed and bronzed!
For brows, I used the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in "Medium Ash."
I filled them in very lightly.
Going back to the eyes, I used "Driftwood" to smoke out the lower lash line.
Like so.
Because we're going for such a bright lip, I want to make sure my eyes look super awake. For that, I used the Rimmel Scandaleyes Waterproof Kohl Kajal liner in "Nude" along my lower waterline.
Like so.
To finish up the eyes, I used the Jordana Best Lash Extreme volumizing mascara.
I combined that with the L'Oreal Voluminous Million lashes.
And finally, for the lips, I used the NYX Matte lipstick in "Indie Flick."
And here is the final look!
And there you have it! A bright, bold lip, perfect for spring and summer! And it is easy to do! I hope you all enjoyed this tutorial. If you have any questions or comments, please leave them below or on my Facebook page, "Beautymark." Thank you soooo much for reading, and have a great week!
XOXO - Tabitha
