Hot Pink

Hey everyone! Hope you are well, and that you have had a good week. Today's tutorial is all about the color pink. I have been all over Instagram lately, and I've seen so many amazing makeup looks using pink in different ways. Those looks inspired me to do one of my own. Bold pink eyes, and pink lips. This is a look that would be perfect for music festivals this summer, as it is quick, easy, and packs a big punch. So, let's get started. All tips will be listed in the captions below each photo. Enjoy!

As always, start out by priming the face. I used a combination of the L'Oreal Miracle Blur and Benefit the POREfessional.

For foundation, I used the Covergirl Outlast foundation in the color "842." I applied this foundation using the Real Techniques beauty sponge. I. Am. Obsessed. with that sponge. It seriously makes your foundation application look flawless.

Foundation is done.

I'm going to go ahead and apply concealer using the MAC Pro Longwear concealer in "NC25."

I applied it under the eyes, around the nose and along the chin.

Concealer done.

I took the excess concealer on my ring finger, like so...

And applied it to the eyes to even out the skin tone.

To set that concealer, I used the MAC Prep + Prime translucent setting powder.

Then to set the rest of the face, I used Rimmel London Stay Matte Powder in "001 Transparent."

Face is set!

We're skipping the eyeshadow today, and going straight for liner. I'm using the NYC liquid liner. This liquid liner has a brush tip instead of a felt tip, and it is a bit different to use. This liner also dries down completely matte, and it sets fast. So, you have to work with it quickly.

I made a thick, dramatic winged liner on each eye, like so.

Here's where we get into the color. To line the lower waterline and lash line, I used the Wet n' Wild Fergie On Edge Longwear eye pencil liner in "Ex-Stacey."

I first lined the waterline.

And then I smudged it down on to the lower lash line.

This is what you should have so far.

Then I took this hot pink shadow from the BH Cosmetics 120 eye shadow palette to blend over the eye liner.

Like so.

And this is how it should look all blended out. Now, bear-in-mind that this is one of those looks that will look awful until the very end, haha. So, it may look scary now, but it will come together.

Going back to the skin, I used Hoola bronzer by Benefit to warm up the face.

I then used this very light pink blush from the BH Cosmetics 10 color blush palette. I only used a little bit of this blush since we have so much color going on on the eyes and lips.

The skin is now complete!

For brows I used the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in "Medium Ash."

Brows done!

I applied a thin coat of mascara using the L'Oreal Voluminous Million Lashes.

Then I applied the Ardell 110 lashes.

And finally, for the lips I used Milani lipstick in the color "14 Rose Hip." LOVE this color!!

And here's the final look!

So, there you go! A monochromatic pink look! I love this, and I think it looks really different and fun. Again, perfect for music festivals this summer. It's quick and easy too! Let me know what you all think about this look in the comments down below, or on my Facebook page: Beautymark. Thank you so so so much for reading, and I'll see you all next week with all new posts!
