Hey everyone! I hope you all had an amazing weekend! Today is a full-face tutorial on this gorgeous and festive holiday look. I am soooo excited to be doing a tutorial with the shadows used in this post. I've owned them for forever, but every time I open them I'm reminded how much I absolutely LOVE them. And they're super affordable! You'll see what I used in just a bit. I want to note that this is kind of a two-in-one tutorial. There was a request for me to do a tutorial on how to apply false lashes. So, that's in here too. This is a long one, ladies.... so let's go ahead and get started! All tips will be in the captions below each photo. Enjoy!
First I'm going to apply some lip gloss. I looked for actual lip balm, but there was none on my vanity anywhere. I just wanted to moisturize my lips while working on the rest of my face.
I primed my face with Benefit's The POREfessional.
For foundation, I used Revlon's 24hr Colorstay Foundation in the color "250 Fresh Beige."
Foundation is done!
Next, I primed my eyes with Lorac Behind the Scenes Eye Primer.
First up for eyeshadow, I used this NYX single shadow.
In the color "True Taupe."
I put that color right into the crease as the transition shade.
This is where I get excited! This is the L'Oreal Infallible eye shadow in "Golden Emerald."
This picture does not do this shadow justice AT ALL. You can't even see how metallic and gorgeous it is. It's more like a pressed pigment than a shadow in person.
Take that shadow and pack it onto the lid from lash line to just under the crease. Just keep building it up until you get the color saturation you want.
This is what you should have at this point. Don't worry if it looks a bit patchy. We'll go back and fix it in a bit.
Next up is another beautiful eye shadow. This is Maybelline's Color Tattoo loose pigment in Downtown Brown.
Now go back to the "Golden Emerald" and apply more to the lid. We lost a bit of color when we blended the darker brown into the crease. So we need to build that color back up.
You should now have something like this.
Next, take a big fluffy brush, with no additional product, and blend out the edges.
For brows, I used the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in "Medium Ash."
Brows are filled in!
Then I took a clear mascara and used it to set my brows so they don't move.
Next I took the L'Oreal Carbon Black Lineur Intense Liquid Liner to line my eyes.
Create a thin line and a small wing. We want the green to stand out.
Next I took Maybelline's Color Tattoo Loose Pigment in the color "Barely Brazen." I used this to highlight the inner corners and brow bone.
For concealer I used my trusty Maybelline Instant Age Rewind. I've seriously tried SO MANY drugstore concealers and this is the only one that doesn't crease on me.
I put the concealer in a triangle shape underneath my eyes and on my chin, then blended that out with a stippling brush.
We're now concealed!
To set my foundation I used Rimmel London's Stay Matte pressed powder in the color "Transparent."
I powdered one half of my face and left the other half un-powdered. See how it gives that flawless finish?
Now my whole face is powdered.
For contouring I used the NYX Matte Bronzer in the color "Medium."
I checked and realized I've never shown you all what this bronzer looks like.
Here's one cheek contoured, and the other not. You can see how it really shapes the face and brings out your cheekbones.
I applied the bronzer on my cheeks, temples, hairline and jaw bone to really sculpt my face.
For blush I used Milani's Baked Blush in the color "Luminoso."
Next I wanted a highlight on my cheeks.
This is actually an eye shadow. Stila's "Kitten." This is a cult favorite eye shadow. If you're in the market for an amazing highlight color, look no further!
I just tapped my ring finger in this eye shadow and spread it over the tops of my cheekbones.
Like so.
Look at this freakin' highlight!!!!!!! Absolutely gorgeous!
I also added this to the inner corners of my eyes for an extra highlight.
Light and bright!
I went back to the Color Tattoo in "Downtown Brown" and applied it to the outer corner of the lower lids.
Like so.
With the same brush I took the "Golden Emerald" and applied it to the middle and inner parts of the lower lids.
Like so.
For mascara I used Jordana's Best Lash Extreme Volumizing Mascara.
Lashes are just okay...
So I decided to add some falsies to punch it up a bit.
I used the DUO glue to apply my lashes. This is the best eyelash glue, by far.
I prefer to grip my lashes with tweezers rather than my fingers. But you can do it however is easiest for you.
Add a thin layer of glue to the band of the lashes.
I blow on them for a few seconds to get the glue tacky.
I apply the lashes right onto the middle part of my eyes as close to the lash line as I can.
After letting the lashes set in the middle of my lash line for a minute, I maneuver the outer corner of the lashes to meet my lash line.
Then, with my fingers I tuck the inner corners of the falsies as close to the lash line as possible.
Next I take the falsies and my own lashes and kind of smush them together. This blends my real lashes into the falsies.
Falsies applied!
Next I took my liquid liner again and applied a thin coat of it over the band of the lashes.
Like so.
For lips I used Milani's "Nude" lipstick.
I wanted more of a pinky-nude...
So I used the NYX Butter Gloss in the color "Merengue."
And we're done!
