Soft Eye and a Bold Lip

Hey everyone! Today's post is a tutorial on a soft eye with a bold lip. Can I just say I am obsessssssed with red lips right now! Well, berry colored lips too. But today we're going with red! I love this look, and have worn it quite a lot throughout the fall. I thought maybe you all would want to see the products used and how it is created. So, let's get started! All tips will be in the captions of each picture.

I went ahead and put on foundation. For this I used Revlon 24hr Colorstay foundation in the color "250 Sand Beige."

Next, I primed my eyes using the Lorac Behind the Scenes Eye Primer.

Next I took "Cream" from the LoracPRO palette and put it all over my lids as a base.

Then I took "Taupe" and applied it to the crease.

I blended quite a bit of "Taupe" into the crease, as I wanted it to be really defined.

Next I took "Antique" from the Anastasia Beverly Hills Lavish Palette and packed it all over my lid, but kept it underneath the crease.

You should now have something like this.

Next, I took a fluffy brush and blended out all the harsh lines.

Please excuse the blurry picture, but next I took Maybelline's Instant Age Rewind concealer in the color "Light" and applied it in a triangle shape under my eyes, around my nose and on my chin.

Just like the last post, I apologize because you can barely even see this. Concealer is VERY important in this look. We want to completely eliminate ALL redness from the face. This is key when wearing a red lip.

Blend out that concealer really well. My brush looks disgusting...

Concealer blended!

Next I took this flesh colored pencil liner from Rimmel. It's the Scandaleyes Waterproof Kajal Pencil.

Add this to your waterline. This will help wake up your eyes and face. The waterline tends to naturally have a pinky-red color, and like I mentioned earlier, we want to eliminate all redness.

It doesn't look like much now, but you will notice how bright it makes your eyes in the end!

Next, I took my L'Oreal Carbon Black Lineur Intense liquid liner and created a wing on each eye.

Just a small one. We want definition on the eyes, but the focus to be on our lips.

Next I took "Nude" from the LoracPRO palette and added it to the inner corners of my eyes and on my brow bone as a highlight.

Now for powder. Like always, I use Rimmel's Stay Matte pressed powder in the color "Transparent."

No more shine!

Next we're going to contour. For this I use the NYX Matte Bronzer in the color "Medium."

We're going for a strong contour in this look. We want everything to be super defined and crisp. Take a big fluffy brush and blend from the top of the ear down to the middle of the cheek. No further than that.

After contouring your cheeks, with no extra product on the brush, blend the bronzer into your hairline above your temples. Anywhere the sun would naturally hit your face.

This is what you should end up with. Not sure why there is bronzer on my nose... pretend that's not there.

Now for blush. We want a little flush of color on the cheeks, but not much.

I used a baked blush from Milani in the color "Berry Amore."

With a light hand, apply the blush to the middle of the cheeks and blend back towards the ear. We don't want a lot of color in the center of the face.

Now for the brows! In keeping with the theme of the rest of the face, we want to really define those eyebrows. For this, I'm using the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in "Medium Ash."

Power brows! Don't be afraid to exaggerate your brows a bit for this look.

Next up is lashes. I've gotten so much feedback from you all! So many of you have went out and bought this mascara and have loved it! That makes me so happy! For those of you who do not know about this, it is the Jordana Best Lash Extreme Volumizing mascara. Best. Stuff. Ever.

Pack on the mascara on your top lashes. Apply it to your bottom lashes as well. I used a really thin coat on my bottom lashes for this look. Now you can see how much the skin-toned eyeliner we used in the waterline has brightened everything up! It really wakes up your whole face, I love it!

Last up, the lips! I used a lipliner from NYX in the color "804 Cabaret."

I outlined them, then filled in the whole lip.

Next I took one of my favorite lipsticks, the Rimmel - Kate Moss lipstick in the color "09."

I used a lip brush to apply this very cleanly all over the lip.

       Here's the final look!
