Sexy, Sultry Look

Hey everyone! Today's blog post is a full face tutorial on this sexy, sultry look. Now when I sat down to film this, I was originally going for a holiday look.............. Clearly it went in another direction, haha. It would be a nice look for the holidays if it were toned down a bit. But, I just kept going and this is what ended up happening. Hope you all don't mind. I want to note that I am playing around with my lighting, so you may notice the pictures look different, I look paler, etc. I'm planning on starting my YouTube channel soon (ahhhh, yay!), and I'm trying to get the best lighting possible down before starting it. So bare with me. I know I keep saying that... Anyway, let's jump right into the tutorial! Tips will be in the captions beneath each picture. Enjoy!

As always, I started out by priming my face with Benefit's the POREfessional. Love. This. Stuff.

For foundation I used my trusty Revlon 24hr Colorstay foundation in the color "250 Fresh Beige."

Foundation is done!

Moving on to the eyes, I started by using Lorac Behind the Scenes Eye Primer all over the lids.

First I took "Taupe" from the LoracPRO palette.

I blended that into the crease, then worked my way down to the lash line. I did this so the most amount of color would be in my crease, and I would have just a light wash of the taupe color over the lids.

Blend into the crease, then work your way down.

Next I took the color "Cream" and a big fluffy brush, and blended it onto the upper crease up to the brow bone. This helps create a smooth transition from the taupe to the lightest color that will go onto the brow bone later on.

Next, I took the color "Gold" and packed it onto my lids, underneath the crease.

Like so.

You should now have something like this.

Then I took "Espresso" and blended it into the outer crease to create some depth and dimension.

Blending.

Next, I took the L'Oreal Carbon Black Lineur Intense liquid eyeliner and created a wing on each eye.

Nothing too dramatic. Just to shape the eyes a bit.

Now we're going to add some drama! I took the Urban Decay 24/7 Glide on eye pencil in "Zero" to tight-line my upper lash line, and also to line my waterline.

Agh! Creepy face!

Now for concealer, I took my favorite Maybelline Instant Age Rewind.

As always, I put it in a triangle shape underneath my eyes, around my nose and on my chin.

Now we look awake!

To control my shine, and to set my foundation, I used Rimmel London's Stay Matte pressed powder in the color "Transparent."

This is where it started becoming less and less of a holiday look... I took a mixture of "Taupe" and "Espresso" on a small, stubby brush and smoked out my lower lid.

Like so. I swept this across the entire lower lid. I took it down pretty far.

Then I added some of the "Gold" color to the middle part of the lower lids.

Don't be afraid to really smoke out your lower lids. It looks scary at first, but I promise you will end up loving it!

To highlight the inner corners and brow bone, I use "Nude."

Lets add a contour! For this I use the NYX Matte Bronzer in the color "Medium."

I used the bronzer for contouring, and also for actual bronzing. For that, I just blended the bronzer a little farther up on my cheeks.

For blush, I used the Milani Baked Blush in the color "Berry Amore."

Onto the brows. For this I used the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in "Medium Ash."

I went back and added a little more of the highlight color under my brows after I filled them in.

Almost there!

For mascara I used the Jordana Best Lash Extreme Volumizing Mascara.

Lashes are done! If you want to step it up a notch, add some falsies. That will really take this look from sexy, to smokin'!

Moving on to the lips, I used NYX Lip liner in the color "804 Cabaret."

This is the point in the tutorial where I get annoyed with myself. I didn't notice it in person AT ALL, but my lipliner AND my lipstick application are both wonky. My lips are shaped funny anyway, and I just exaggerated it that much more. So, please focus on the color and not my wonky liner/lipstick job, haha.

Ohhh, a dark lipstick!!!

This is by Milani, in the color "21 Sangria."
Don't be afraid. It won't go on as dark as it looks!

The finished look!

Hope you all liked this tutorial! It's not quite what I envisioned when I sat down to do it, but that's the beauty of makeup. You can get creative and let your imagination take over. That's why I love it so much! Like always, if you have any questions or comments, please leave them below, or on my Facebook page: "Beautymark."
