Hey everyone! Today's post is a full face tutorial on a night out on the town kinda look. I absolutely love creating a dramatic eye, and getting all glammed up! The colors used for this look are perfect for every eye color, but especially pretty for my fellow blue-eyed ladies. Using reds/oranges really makes blue eyes pop. Now, I used the LoracPRO palette again in this tutorial (seriously the best palette EVER). But if you don't have this, it's totally fine! Just use whatever similar colors you already have :). Let's get started!
I went ahead and put my foundation on. For that I used the Revlon 24hr Colorstay foundation in the color "250 Sand Beige." Next I used the Lorac "Behind the Scenes Eye Primer." I took a tiny amount and spread it over my entire lid. Every step after this will be in the captions under each picture.
Spread a small amount over your entire lid.
Next, take a creamy black eyeshadow base, like this one from NYX. It's the Jumbo Eye Pencil in 601 - Black Bean.
Spread it all over the lids, but keep it under the crease.
Like so. Don't worry, it can be messy. We'll blend it out in a second.
Take your ring finger (as you can control the pressure you apply with this finger better than any other) and blend out the black base over your lids.
Here's one eye done. Again, make sure to keep the black under your crease.
Next take a reddish-coppery shade to put on over the black base. I chose "Garnet" from the LoracPRO palette.
Using a flat shader brush, pack that reddish-copper shade all over your lids where you put the black base.
It should come out looking something like this.
Next take a warm brown eyeshadow like this one.
Blend it into your crease like so. Here's one eye done, and one not.
Keep blending :)
After you finish blending, take the reddish-copper shade again and pack some more onto the lid. We want this color to really stand out!
Next, take a light brown color like this one to blend into the upper crease.
Focus this light brown shade on the upper crease, but below the brow bone. This makes for a nice transition to the lightest shade we'll use on the brow bone in a bit.
You should now have something like this.
Why do I look so smug? Ignore my face, and focus on the liquid liner I'm holding, haha.
With the black liner of your choice, create a super long wing on each eye. We want this to be dramatic!
Oh yeah, super wing!
Next step: concealer. I use Maybelline's Instant Age Rewind in the color "Light."
Create a triangle shape under each eye and around your nose, like so. Sorry, you can barely see this.
Blend it out with a stippling brush to highlight those under eyes!
Next take a powder of your choice to set your face. I chose Rimmel Stay Matte pressed powder in the color "Transparent" because I have super oily skin.
Shine begone!
Then take a matte bronzer, like this one from NYX in the color "Medium," and a big fluffy brush to warm up the face.
I used this bronzer to contour my cheeks. I also applied it right above my temples at my hairline where the sun would naturally hit to make it look like I have a tan.
Here's the other side.
Then take a rosy-gold blush, like this one from Milani in the color "Berry Amore" and apply it to your cheeks.
Like so. Loooooooove this blush. It looks like it would be super shimmery, but once you put it onto the face it's amazing.
Another view of the blush.
Now we're going back to the eyes. Take the warm brown color you used earlier (same as "Sable" above) and a short stubby brush, and apply that to the outer corner of your bottom lid.
Like so.
Then take the reddish-copper color (like "Garnet") and apply it to the middle and inner portions of your bottom lid.
Now take a light, shimmery color for the highlight on the inner corners of your eye, as well as the brow bone. I chose "Nude."
The eyeshadow is now complete.
Now for the brows. I used the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in "Medium Ash."
Brows are done!
Add some DUO glue to the band of your lashes. Wait a bit for the glue to get tacky, then apply the lashes.
These babies are LONG!
Another shot of the lashes...
Then apply a small amount of mascara to the top lashes, just to blend your lashes into the falsies. Then pack it on to your bottom lashes.
Now for the lips. We want to keep the lips nude. I chose this lipstick by Milani. Can you tell I like their products?
This is in the shade 26 Nude Creme.
Then I topped off the lipstick with this Butter Gloss by NYX.
In the shade "BLG05 Creme Brulee."
And we're done! Yay! Perfect for a night out!
Hope you all enjoyed this tutorial. This was so much fun to create. Let me know if you try this look out! Like always, if you have any questions or comments, please leave them below or on my Facebook page "Beautymark." Thank you all so much for reading and have a great week!
XOXO - Tabitha
