Hey everyone! Today's blog post will be all about these three nail polishes by KBShimmer. Little back story... I follow a nail blog. A really good one. It's called "The Polishaholic." Every day she posts swatches and reviews of all different kinds of nail polish - mainstream brands and indie brands. Well, one day I clicked on her blog and she posted about some polishes from the KBShimmer brand (including the ones I have above). I immediately fell in love and had to have them! Now, I have to admit... before now, I was a nail polish snob. I always stuck to brands like Essie, OPI and ChinaGlaze. Seriously Tabitha, get over yourself. Why I never broke down and came over to the indie side is beyond me. I should've done it long ago, because these polishes are AMAZING! Check out the swatches of each below!
First one up is "Kringle All The Way." This has red, green and white circle glitter in a clear base. This is the one that I fell in love with immediately! I looked and looked for a Christmas-y glitter and never could find one I liked until now. This polish is my favorite of the three. The formula is good, although I had to fish for the large circle glitter a bit. I used 2 coats of "Kringle All The Way" over the following Base coats:
White: OPI - Alpine Snow
Red: Nicole by OPI - Kourt Is Red-y For A Pedi
Green: ChinaGlaze - Running in circles.
Next up is "You Autumn Know." This has orange, gold and purple circle glitter with tiny bar glitter in a white, milky base. You can use this over a base coat, or on its own. It really does capture fall in a bottle. This polish is absolutely beautiful. The formula was great. It was a little sheer on the first coat, but built up nicely on the second coat. I used two coats of "You Autumn Know" in the pictures below.
Last up is "What's Your Damage." This has neon green, hot pink and black matte hex glitter in a white, milky base. Again, you can wear this on its own, or layer it over a white base coat. This polish is awesome! I love that the glitter is all matte. That's something that drew me to these, was the different shapes, sizes and finishes of the glitter polishes. The formula was good, but the glitter did like to stick together. I found it easiest to put the polish on, then move the glitter around to where I wanted it on the nail. Even so, this polish is great! I used two coats of "What's Your Damage" in the pictures below.
Overall, I am SO glad I bought these polishes. I actually wore "You Autumn Know" all week, and it held up great! Also, shipping was fast and easy.
